About Me

My photo
Chris Vasil
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and has been living in sunny Southern Delaware since 2000. I work in different mediums and have a range that expands the stylistic spectrum from realism to abstract expressionism. My work can be found in private and corporate collections. My on line demos have been translated into German and French. I feel I have broken new ground with my recent abstracts using my own proprietary processes for exploiting the properties of the pigments to create organically occurring patterns only marginally facilitated by my input. I've also learned to paint watercolor landscapes in such a way that creation feels more like I'm observing an accelerated geological process than making a painting. ' Effective November 14th, 2020 I've been confining myself to painting representationally in to grey tones and abstracts in color. If art was food, the tonal paintings are the meat and starch and the abstracts the hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Blog: www.christophervasil.com
